Directors' Message

On behalf of the Program for Education in Global and Population Health, we would like to extend a warm welcome!

Our program is committed to enhancing the education and research activities of health sciences students who are engaging in the improvement of health care, both both locally and abroad. We are deeply committed to creating an atmosphere that fosters academic and personal development, while reinforcing the education provided through the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, Mailman School of Public Health, College of Dental Medicine, and School of Nursing.

We encourage you to join the global and population health discussion and explore our educational and research opportunities. Global and population health leadership is needed in all areas of medical specialization. Now is an exciting time to think about what might be achieved in such areas as precision medicine and genetics, emerging infections, chronic non-infectious diseases, surgery and anesthesia, global and population mental health, bioinformatics, bioethics, global health policy, and global and population health economics, and many more.

As you read about all the opportunities our program has to offer, We hope that you will be inspired to join our global and population health activities and initiatives. We look forward to working with you as you begin your career as a health care professional.

Warm regards,

Michael Yin, MD, MS
Director
