About Projects with Dr. Hekimian in 2022
Project:
Infant and young child feeding (breastfeeding during COVID 19), nutrition and non-communicable diseases, the affects of war on public health, war and COVID 19.
Student Project Activities:
I will work with students to define their area of interest as it overlaps with the thematic areas listed above. All projects will include literature review, interviews with experts in the field, qualitative interviews with policy stakeholders, and a final presentation. For each project, the student will be paired with a student at the American University of Armenia School of Public Health and possibly co-faculty mentorship from Armenia as well. Since Armenia is currently experiencing the ravages of war and skyrocketing rates of COVID 19, the project areas may focus on the affects of these two historical events on the health outcome of interest.
