WHO-MOH (Ethiopia) Collaboration
Dr. Tsion Firew serves as an advisor to the Minister of Health, Ethiopia on Strategic Partnership and Emergency Care. Under her role, she supports and oversees several programs.
WHO-MOH Collaboration
- Implementation of WHO toolkits for building Emergency Care Capacity through training and research
- Recruit volunteers from U.S. and Europe to assist with the implementation of programs
- Support programs at the Ministry of Health on per-hospital and clinical services
Public Health Emergency Management
- Work with Ethiopia's Public Health Institute to assist with emergency preparedness and response
- Perform needs assessment on health interventions for Internally Displaced People and refugees
Partnership and Resource Mobilization
- Identify key partners and institutions to assist with initiatives and attainment of Ethiopia’s Health Sector Transformation Plan
- Mobilize resources and funding opportunities for programs in Ethiopia
